Westcott Properties was created in 1987 as a small boutique brokerage firm specializing in the sale of Investment and Corporate Owned real estate throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. We began with two experienced agents and now have sales staff of over 18 agents in our corporate office space centrally located at 178 Broadway in Providence Rhode Island. Our watchwords have always been knowledge, expertise and results for our buyers and sellers. I am proud of how much we have accomplished. Over the years we not only grew in size but added expertise in all areas and neighborhoods of Rhode Island, southern Massachusetts and most recently Connecticut.
We handle sales of condominiums, single-family residences, and investment properties, commercial and industrial properties, and specializing in the adaptive re-use of space. Our corporate REO division serves financial institutions across the country and include clients like Chase Manhattan, Ocwen Financial, Select Servicing Portfolio, Saxon, Fannie Mae, and Lenders Processing Servicing (LPS) Management to name a few.
Most recently we have expanded our Property Management Division in response to the passage of the Helping Families Save Their Homes Act of 2009 (H.R. 1106). Westcott Properties has the experience and resources needed to coordinate the ever increasing functions required by investors, regulators and other interested parties. Staff are available to evaluate tenancies, leases and to work as a liaison between the tenants, neighborhood organizations and the clients we service.
Our impressive business model is value driven for agents, the community, the market place and our clients. The company has developed a unique agent and client support system, including departments such as Field Operations, Corporate Projects and Asset Preservation, Relocation, Property Management, Offers and Contracts, Evaluations and Field Services, and Closing Management. Westcott has staff experts in these departments to assist the agents in better serving their clients, while complying with the vast regulations of the Department of Business Regulation, Real Estate Division and contract law.
